About the artwork
A lovely signed oil on panel by Armand Francois Henrion (1875-1958) depicting a clown or pierrot. The work is actually a self portrait of the painter - he painted this over and over again with various different poses and expressions. His work is highly sought after and collected.

Armand François Joseph Henrion exhibited in the Belgian salons before settling in Paris, where he worked. He gave expression to the whole spectrum of human emotions through white-powdered Pierrot faces.
